UREA FERTILIZER – PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

1. Product Description

Urea (CO(NH₂)₂) is a highly concentrated nitrogen fertilizer widely used in agriculture to promote vegetative growth. It is the most commonly applied nitrogen source globally due to its high nutrient content and ease of handling.

4. Mechanical Properties

  • Hardness: ≥ 2.0 kg/prill (prilled) or ≥ 3.0 kg/granule (granular)

  • Bulk Density:

    • Prilled: 730–750 kg/m³

    • Granular: 750–770 kg/m³


5. Contaminants & Purity

  • Free from harmful substances such as heavy metals or phytotoxic additives

  • Insolubles: 0.02% max.

  • Anti-caking agents may be added depending on supplier


6. Packaging

  • 25 kg woven PP bags

  • 40–50 kg woven PP bags

  • 500–1,000 kg jumbo bags (FIBC)

  • Custom packaging available upon request

  • Bags typically include inner liners for moisture protection


7. Storage & Handling

  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area

  • Away from moisture and direct sunlight

  • Stack on pallets, not directly on floor

  • No mixing with other fertilizers or chemicals unless recommended


8. Applications

  • Row crops, cereals, rice, wheat, corn, sugarcane

  • Horticulture & plantations

  • Blended fertilizers (NPK blends)

  • Industrial uses: resin production, adhesives, DEF/AdBlue (special grade required)


9. Safety Information

  • Non-combustible but decomposes to ammonia if exposed to excessive heat

  • Avoid inhalation of dust

  • Use gloves and masks during handling for safety
